Discovering Static Electricity, Rugs, Flannel, and Walking Accessories

Well, this will be a post of videos.  We got a bunch of good ones that I just have to share.  But first, a few photos.  TerraDactyl was sliding around on the couch in the living room collecting static electricity.  Her hair is so fine that it stands up great.  I'm a little surprised that this just started happening.  It's spring, so it's been raining for a while now.  Maybe it was her outfit.

Who's a dandelion fluff ball?

TerraDactyl has also discovered that rugs can be picked up.  At least, the rug in her bedroom can be.  I don't think she's realized yet that the living room rug can be picked up as well.

What goes under here?

Now for the videos...  I have a stack of flannel in one of TerraDactyl's dresser drawers.  She's found the stack before, but never really explored it.  She usually just dumps it on the floor on her way to emptying out the drawer.  But this time around, she actually felt it.  And turns out, TerraDactyl likes flannel.

As TerraDactyl gets better at walking, she's also getting better at experimenting.  She's done some cruising, but now she's looking into finding something to assist her in her walks.  This chair started out tucked under the table.  TerraDactyl crawled under the table and pushed it out and across the room!

And last, but not least...  The epic battle for dominance continues.  Riley has decided that he no longer has to go quite as easy on TerraDactyl when playing tug-o-war.  In fact, he seems quite loathe to relinquish his tiny beaver to her.  This was his first squeak toy, and apparently it contains some sentimental value.  Watch TerraDactyl's facial expressions, they're the best.

  1. Looks like she will be walking on her own soon.

    1. She's really close. But when we try to get her to take a step by herself, she still chooses to drop down and crawl. Or... do a face first fall into our arms, rather than take a step.
