One Nap Days
DH has obviously not seen me wear enough sun dresses... |
After nearly a week of TerraDactyl refusing to sleep during her afternoon nap, we decided to try moving to one nap per day. It seems that this will be our new normal. Sigh.
Nap hair always cracks me up |
Possibly my least favorite thing about TerraDactyl switching to only taking one nap per day is... OK, it's obviously that I have less time to try and get things accomplished.
Feed me, mommy! |
But my NEXT least favorite thing is that I only get to go to the bathroom alone once during the day. Seriously. It's a lot more stressful trying to pee while corralling a child that wants to get into the grossest parts of the bathroom and a dog that wants to sniff the heck out of the child while she does it.
Sneaking up on Da Da while he's at work... |
TerraDactyl HATES her car seat. She throws a fit every time I put her in it. She calms down once shes all secured in it (usually), but putting her in there is cause for a freak out. BUT. She regularly wants to play in her car seat. She'll spend 15 or 20 minutes hanging out in there and exploring it.
What do we have here? |
TerraDactyl continues to practice her stair climbing. Both up and down. When she sees the baby gate open, she races to get through it before I can shut it. But lately she's been doing a good job of slowing down and approaching the stairs carefully. I think she's focused on it lately because she can hear DH when he's on conference calls for work, and she wants to go play with him.
This is a loooong stair case |
As TerraDactyl gets better at opening drawers, she has also learned to open doors. So she can get into everything underneath our bathroom sink. Except... She's discovered the fake bathroom drawers. And they bother her just as much as they bother me.
After a month of planning, I finally got to bake myself a dessert. Hawaiian brownies - they have macadamia nuts in them. Grocery Outlet had macadamia nuts on super duper sale, so I bought a ton. DH eats them straight, but I wanted to do something special. And they are special. Next up? I want to make Lava Cake. That'll probably take another month of planning.
Chocolate and macadamia nuts, what could be better? |
