And... We're Back!

Whew!  It's been a while since I posted.  Things are good, everyone's fine.  Life just happened.  Let's play a bit of catch up.

Sooooo Big!

After visiting my family, we continued on to visit with DH's family.  This broke up a 7-hour drive into two 4-hour drives.  As this was our first attempt to bring TerraDactyl such a long distance, I thought it was important to limit the drive time of each day.  Because while she can do a 4-hour drive pretty well, I could see a 7-hour drive turning into:  4 hours of sleeping and then 10 hours of stopping every 30 minutes to feed and change diapers with TerraDactyl screaming the whole time.  I'd rather ease her into long car trips.

Great grandma and TerraDactyl's great aunt loving on her

This was our first visit to DH's extended family.  Which means it was also the first time most of the family had a chance to meet TerraDactyl.  DH has a pretty big family, so there were lots of people wanting to hold the baby.  Which turned out great for me.  I got to eat meals when I wanted them and relax without hold TerraDactyl...  It was quite a little vacation for me.  :D

DH's brother - a first time uncle.  Also, potentially... the first time holding a baby?
And with practice.  However, he did turn down all chances to change diapers...

The large number of willing baby holders also meant we had willing baby-sitters.  So, DH, DH's brother, and I snuck out to see Spider-Man: Far From Home.  And by snuck I mean, we spent two hours prepping to leave (me pumping a bottle of milk, nursing TerraDactyl, DH figuring out which theater to go to, buying our assigned seats so we didn't have to wait in line...)

I had NO IDEA Pack and Plays came with a changing station!!  This thing was AWESOME

If you're going to see Far From Home, watch Avengers Endgame FIRST (if you care about spoilers).  DH's brother got some big spoilers.  Whoops.  We got home to find out that both our babies had been little pills.  Riley was bullying FIL's dog - the one that's literally 4 times Riley's size.  And TerraDactyl refused to take a nap and was a little pill.  BUT, she did take her bottle.  I packed 4 different kinds of bottles, so MIL had to swap out the bottle.  Sorry!

Seriously, this changing station was SO helpful

Tomorrow I'll cover TerraDactyl's party and the fourth of July.  Sorry these posts are so far behind!
