Growth Chart

 

I finally finished TerraDactyl's growth chart!  The cross stitch part has been done for a while, but I had to iron on a backing to the cross stitch and then sew on a backing.  And I've got loops at the top to hang it up.  Now we just have to hang it.  That will probably take another 4 months or so...  :)

TerraDactyl often requests to eat whatever I'm eating.  So I've started eating a lot of oatmeal.  Her favorites seem to be Apple Pie Oatmeal (with hemp hearts because, why not?) and Sweet Potato Oatmeal Breakfast Casserole, even without the amazing brown sugar & butter topping.  

Riley has taught TerraDactyl the comfort of finding a cave to hang out in.  Riley always likes curling up under the footrest of recliners, and TerraDactyl's also experimenting with it.  

If you look hard enough, can you find the toothbrush?  It took me forever to find TerraDactyl's toothbrush when I was cleaning up the other day.  

TerraDactyl has always liked climbing and she's learning to like climbing at the park as well.  

TerraDactyl really wanted to wear a hat like mommy, so she finally got a chance to wear a ball cap.  Well, this hasn't exactly been my most cohesive post, but...  I did get through a lot of my random backlog of pictures.  :D  Here's a video of TerraDactyl being a total goofball.  (so basically just a normal day).

Honey, Where are my pants?

The other day, DH and I were getting ready to leave the house and DH asked me to run downstairs to grab his wallet.  Sure thing, no problem.  I spent 10 minutes looking for his wallet before giving up.  DH looked downstairs for his wallet while I looked upstairs and in the car.  DH looked upstairs and in the car.  We finally gave up and left.  I had to drive instead of DH.  We spent a whole day thinking DH's wallet was missing.  Since he hadn't left the house in a week, we figured he lost it the last time he did leave.  When we finally got back to the house DH found this gadget  that links to your phone.  When you lose your wallet, you phone pings the card and it makes a noise so you can find the wallet.  Apparently, DH isn't the only one to have this problem.  ;)  Oh, and we found his wallet.  Phew!  It was in the pocket of his pants in the laundry basket.  Which we BOTH checked, multiple times.  Turns out, sometimes having a plethora of pockets in a pair of pants is a bad

Furniture Galore!

Well, DH and I have finally passed the last milestone to official adulthood.  It's not having a baby - lots of people choose not to or can't have kids.  It's not buying a house - people in big cities often can't buy houses because big cities are insane (a completely unbiased fact).  And it has nothing to do with age.  Nope.  The last milestone to adult hood is:  buying non-IKEA furniture.  DH and I are big proponents of hand-me-downs.  And we've got by pretty well so far, thanks to our generous family and friends.  But we did need a new bed, and I fell in love with one, so we ended up paying retail for it.  It was on sale, at least.  And it's really cool. Summer Camp

  Tomorrow TerraDactyl will be starting her first day of summer camp.  It's twice a week for 3 hours each day.  The class is super small (5 kids) and they're all 3 or 4 years old.  It's only for the month of July.  Hopefully, she'll like it.  It's a nut-free building, so I was struggling to find filling snacks for TerraDactyl to bring with her.  I ended up finding these snack cups of olives and pouches of pickles.  I was so excited about my find.  And you know what DH had to say?  "Olives and pickles for snacks?  What are you trying to get TerraDactyl bullied?"  :P  (I'm still packing the olives for her). TerraDactyl really does like olives though.  She seems to kind of like the pickles, but the olives pretty much always get cleaned off her plate.  I'd also like to point out that neither DH nor I taught her to shove the olives onto her fingers.  She just started doing that one day.  Maybe it's innate...  I think TerraDactyl told her first ridd
