Exciting Interjections

Lately, TerraDactyl has been loving books with interjections.  So she likes the Berenstain's B Book because there's a BAM!  And she likes the Cat in the Hat because there's a Bump!  And she REALLY likes Mother Bruce because he ROARS!  Sometimes, she'll just have me read until Bruce roars and then she'll giggle and then we'll switch books.  

TerraDactyl also really likes her new water bottles.  A LOT.  She was so excited when she noticed all the cats and dogs on one of the bottles she had to go through and kiss every one of them.  

But even if she loves the cats & dogs, she also loves the DJ skunk water bottle.  And she surprised the heck out of DH and I when she recognized the phrase "DJ skunks" and knew exactly what we were talking about.  We thought we were being discreet and not drawing her attention to the water bottle.  :)

This amazingly intense hugging thing is something TerraDactyl does all the time now.  She loves going through hugging her stuffed animals.  And lately, she's been hooking one stuffed animal in each arm so she can hug two at once.  She also instructs me to hug particular animals as well.  I have to admit, I love this hugging stage.  It's so nice when she choose to hug me.

Honey, Where are my pants?

The other day, DH and I were getting ready to leave the house and DH asked me to run downstairs to grab his wallet.  Sure thing, no problem.  I spent 10 minutes looking for his wallet before giving up.  DH looked downstairs for his wallet while I looked upstairs and in the car.  DH looked upstairs and in the car.  We finally gave up and left.  I had to drive instead of DH.  We spent a whole day thinking DH's wallet was missing.  Since he hadn't left the house in a week, we figured he lost it the last time he did leave.  When we finally got back to the house DH found this gadget  that links to your phone.  When you lose your wallet, you phone pings the card and it makes a noise so you can find the wallet.  Apparently, DH isn't the only one to have this problem.  ;)  Oh, and we found his wallet.  Phew!  It was in the pocket of his pants in the laundry basket.  Which we BOTH checked, multiple times.  Turns out, sometimes having a plethora of pockets in a pair of pants is a bad

Furniture Galore!

Well, DH and I have finally passed the last milestone to official adulthood.  It's not having a baby - lots of people choose not to or can't have kids.  It's not buying a house - people in big cities often can't buy houses because big cities are insane (a completely unbiased fact).  And it has nothing to do with age.  Nope.  The last milestone to adult hood is:  buying non-IKEA furniture.  DH and I are big proponents of hand-me-downs.  And we've got by pretty well so far, thanks to our generous family and friends.  But we did need a new bed, and I fell in love with one, so we ended up paying retail for it.  It was on sale, at least.  And it's really cool. Summer Camp

  Tomorrow TerraDactyl will be starting her first day of summer camp.  It's twice a week for 3 hours each day.  The class is super small (5 kids) and they're all 3 or 4 years old.  It's only for the month of July.  Hopefully, she'll like it.  It's a nut-free building, so I was struggling to find filling snacks for TerraDactyl to bring with her.  I ended up finding these snack cups of olives and pouches of pickles.  I was so excited about my find.  And you know what DH had to say?  "Olives and pickles for snacks?  What are you trying to get TerraDactyl bullied?"  :P  (I'm still packing the olives for her). TerraDactyl really does like olives though.  She seems to kind of like the pickles, but the olives pretty much always get cleaned off her plate.  I'd also like to point out that neither DH nor I taught her to shove the olives onto her fingers.  She just started doing that one day.  Maybe it's innate...  I think TerraDactyl told her first ridd
