Mom has hair?!?

It's like people expect DH and me to make a nerdy baby or something...

TerraDactyl discovered that her mother has hair.  I usually wear it up in a ponytail, but I bent over her the other day and she saw my ponytail and started giggling.  It kept her entertained for a really long time, giggling and reaching for it.  Of course, I tried to make sure she never actually got a hold of it.

I've started trying out some leg warmers for TerraDactyl.  They're working OK, but she's really good at getting out of them.  The pair above were on for the amount of time it took me to eat a bowl of cereal and she'd already managed to completely remove one of the leggings.  She rubs her feet back and forth and catches her big toe in the fabric and then she can kick it pretty far down in one go.  It's actually quite impressive.

Oh!  TerraDactyl made a big gain in rolling yesterday!  She's only ever rolled over her right shoulder.  So, if she rolled from her back onto her belly and then back onto her back she would end up where she started.  BUT, yesterday I saw her roll over her left should for the first time!  The most surprising thing was that it didn't even seem like she struggled with it.  She just did it.  So I guess she hasn't done it yet because she didn't want to, not because she couldn't?

Near-fall, but no pin!  We've got high hopes for TerraDactyl's wrestling career

Honey, Where are my pants?

The other day, DH and I were getting ready to leave the house and DH asked me to run downstairs to grab his wallet.  Sure thing, no problem.  I spent 10 minutes looking for his wallet before giving up.  DH looked downstairs for his wallet while I looked upstairs and in the car.  DH looked upstairs and in the car.  We finally gave up and left.  I had to drive instead of DH.  We spent a whole day thinking DH's wallet was missing.  Since he hadn't left the house in a week, we figured he lost it the last time he did leave.  When we finally got back to the house DH found this gadget  that links to your phone.  When you lose your wallet, you phone pings the card and it makes a noise so you can find the wallet.  Apparently, DH isn't the only one to have this problem.  ;)  Oh, and we found his wallet.  Phew!  It was in the pocket of his pants in the laundry basket.  Which we BOTH checked, multiple times.  Turns out, sometimes having a plethora of pockets in a pair of pants is a bad

Furniture Galore!

Well, DH and I have finally passed the last milestone to official adulthood.  It's not having a baby - lots of people choose not to or can't have kids.  It's not buying a house - people in big cities often can't buy houses because big cities are insane (a completely unbiased fact).  And it has nothing to do with age.  Nope.  The last milestone to adult hood is:  buying non-IKEA furniture.  DH and I are big proponents of hand-me-downs.  And we've got by pretty well so far, thanks to our generous family and friends.  But we did need a new bed, and I fell in love with one, so we ended up paying retail for it.  It was on sale, at least.  And it's really cool. Summer Camp

  Tomorrow TerraDactyl will be starting her first day of summer camp.  It's twice a week for 3 hours each day.  The class is super small (5 kids) and they're all 3 or 4 years old.  It's only for the month of July.  Hopefully, she'll like it.  It's a nut-free building, so I was struggling to find filling snacks for TerraDactyl to bring with her.  I ended up finding these snack cups of olives and pouches of pickles.  I was so excited about my find.  And you know what DH had to say?  "Olives and pickles for snacks?  What are you trying to get TerraDactyl bullied?"  :P  (I'm still packing the olives for her). TerraDactyl really does like olives though.  She seems to kind of like the pickles, but the olives pretty much always get cleaned off her plate.  I'd also like to point out that neither DH nor I taught her to shove the olives onto her fingers.  She just started doing that one day.  Maybe it's innate...  I think TerraDactyl told her first ridd
