So Many Visitors!

Well, I've dropped the ball on the blogging again.  Sorry.  We've been busy.  The first week I wasn't writing because we had a bunch of visitors.  I'll see if I can condense the whole week down into one post.  First, we had Oma & Opa come down for a couple days to see TerraDactyl.  They weren't going to be able to come for a while, so they snuck a quick visit in before they got too busy.

Oma introducing toys to TerraDactyl

Since TerraDactyl is discovering her hands and getting some more control, Oma wanted to try to introduce TerraDactyl to toys.  We've got a handful of toys, but only a few are small and light enough for TerraDactyl to handle at this point.  We have a couple wood toys she can wrap her hands around and they're light enough they won't hurt if she bonks her head with them.

We also had Skeeter, one of DH's hometown friends come for a visit.  They spent part of the day playing around shooting at targets.

DH is quite proud of this cluster, can you tell?

While the guys were out shooting, Riley, TerraDactyl and I were chilling at home.  Poor Riley was so upset though.  We had a visitor come and then both the guys left!  So Riley tried extra hard to get me to play with him.  Maybe a little too hard...

Not interested in toys?  How about sticks??

We ALSO had a visit from LB, my college roommate from freshman & sophomore years.  We always have fun and end up talking a lot, so I forget to take pictures.  So, no pics of LB.  Sorry.

Developmentally, TerraDactyl has been picking up her legs really high lately.  She pretty much gets her knees to her chest.  And then either kicks them around, OR throws them both back down to the ground.  She can get a pretty good scoot from that.

TerraDactyl doing high kicks

Sadly, that is the last pic you'll see of TerraDactyl in her adorable fox footie pajamas.  They're just too small.  Speaking of to small, you may notice TerraDactyl is in a disposable diaper.  She's 14 pounds now!  So we're trying to use up all the size 1 diapers.

This onesie only speaks the truth

With the increased leg kicking, we've had to make sure to start fixing the strap on the Baby Bjorn bouncer.  TerraDactyl has had a couple escape attempts.  She's not used to the strap being buttoned up though, so it was pretty funny the first couple times.  She yank on it and then get mad when it wouldn't move.

Why can't I get my hand up??
