All Greased Up

We are participating in a study through OHSU that's trying to determine the best way to avoid eczema based on infant skin care.  We were selected to be part of the daily moisturizing group.  Which means that every day I get to smear CeraVe ointment ALL OVER TerraDactyl - head to toe.  It's a bit time consuming because she doesn't like to sit still for it.  And while she doesn't hate it, she certainly doesn't love it.

TerraDactyl is a fan of science!

Also on the topic of TerraDactyl's skin...  She's got a diaper rash.  It's making her cranky and a bit more demanding.  At least I'm hoping it's just the diaper rash and not a permanent change.  :D  I've switched to disposable diapers so I can use diaper rash cream.  Some creams affect the absorbency of cloth diapers and I don't want to screw up my diapers.  It's only for a day or two while her bum heals.

Diaper rash makes it hard to smile for our morning pictures...

Side note:  While I was researching diaper rashes, rash creams, and cloth diapers I found something interesting.  Or maybe it's disturbing.  Anyways, there's quite a few images of diaper rash on baby butts.  That I find normal.  The disturbing part is that several people have put a black censored box over the baby's butt crack.  Like it's porn or something.  It's a picture of a diaper rash.  The fact that someone thinks it needs censoring is disturbing.

We finally got TerraDactyl to use a pacifier!  She's not great at it, but it gives DH a delaying tactic when I'm not quite ready to feed her when she wants to be fed NOW!

There's no milk here!

I've also received some fan art!  Mark sent this, celebrating Riley's vigilant defense of our home.  Thanks!  Riley certainly deserves to be commemorated.

Who's a good dog?  Riley!!
