A Wedding

Yesterday we went to a wedding!  It was held at Ainsworth House and Gardens.  The gardens were beautiful.  Every possible pathway had a trellis with a different kind of clematis on it.  There were calla lillies, roses, and ferns all over the place.  And some really cool sculptures in there, too.  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of that because the whole time I was outside I was holding TerraDactyl - either trying to get her to eat, or sleep.  In fact, I didn't get many pictures at the wedding at all.  Here's TerraDactyl getting her fancy dress on  (thanks Betty!):

It took me a while before I caught her still.  She was super squirmy.

The wedding itself was great.  The ceremony had a mixture of Hindu and Jewish customs.  It was pretty interesting.  The reception was pretty traditionally American.  Although, the place card holders were elephants!  They were awesome.  I totally took ours home.

Love the elephants!

We were there for five hours and TerraDactyl put up with it pretty well.  The groom was from DH's work, so there were a lot of people from his group there.  DH got to catch up with people and show off TerraDactyl.

The life of the party

We barely remembered to get a family picture before we left the wedding.  There was a "photo booth" on the edge of the dance floor, so we have goofy green lights all over us from the dance floor lights, but at least we got a picture!  TerraDactyl did NOT like the loud music (the speaker was just to my right).

Why YES, that IS a real flower!

TerraDactyl was a very patient and happy baby for the most part, but she was done by the end.  We did alright on the car ride home, but the last 10 minutes (of a 45 minute trip) had quite a bit of crying.  She was pretty happy to go to bed.  And so was I!
